Urban Shield Review: an outstanding training event for SWAT, EOD, Fire and EMS

This was our third year to participate in Urban Shield and once again we were amazed by the excellent training opportunity it provides to SWAT, EOD, Fire and EMS. During the 48 hour training exercise we provided equipment and training aids to 7 different scenarios.

Here is a list of the products that were used in scenarios at the 2015 Urban Shield:

• K9 SKIDDS: K-9 Back Mounted Camera, K-9 Chest Mounted Camera with Handheld Monitor and Monocular Viewer

  

• BART Scenario: IED Training Aid and Pole Camera with Wrist Mounted Monitor
• Airport Shooting: Pole Camera, Under Door Camera with Handheld Monitor
• EOD Scenario: Dirty Bomb – Grid Aim XTK
• EOD Scenario: Booby Trapped Plane – Det Diagnostic Kit, Manual Access Kit
• EOD Scenario: Chemical Dispersal Device – IED Training Aid, HHIT Flex, 1st Line EOD Tool Kit
• EOD Scenario: Bomb in ICU – Det Diagnostic Kit, HHIT Flex, Special Access Kit
• In addition to providing technology for the event we were also honored to be the Title EOD sponsor and provided prizes to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place EOD teams. The top three winning EOD teams are as follows:

1st Place: Sacramento Area EOD, received a Copper Blasted Plaque and a new HHIT Flex Inspection Camera

2nd Place: Riverside County Sheriff EOD, received four 1st Line EOD Tool Kits and Immediate Action Pouches

3rd Place: Santa Clara County Sheriff EOD, will receive a quarterly shipment of training aids in 2016
