Chemical & Biological Threat Refresher Training
As the likelihood of a terrorism-related employment of Chemical and/or Biological (CB) Agents increases, so does the requirement for the EOD Operators most likely to be charged with the disablement of a suspected dispersal device and/or mitigation of the potential effect of the weapon.
Tactical Electronics’ Chemical and Biological Threat Refresher Training focuses on the reinforcement and/or expansion of the EOD Operators understanding of CB Agents and preparing them to successfully and safely resolve a CB incident. This training emphasizes a hands-on approach, where attendees receive an in-depth background knowledge on CB materials and the hazards they present In laboratory practicum and Situational Training Exercises (STX), EOD Operators will exercise the use of suitable Detection, Identification, and Monitoring (DIMS) equipment, the use of the most suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), contamination control and decontamination procedures, the employment of target mitigation techniques, CB device render safe considerations (Emergency Disablement Option (EDO) or Deliberate Disablement Option (DDO)), and EOD task management. This training reinforces the skills learned in Tactical Electronics’ Manual Neutralization Techniques Training.
